Motion Processing
During my Master intership I investigated how the form cues from the ventral stream may influence the V1/MT motion processing in the primate visual cortex (including humans). In particular I defined a recurrent V1/MT system with directionals V2 cells modulating the V1 to MT feedforward integration. Our results agreeing with physiological and psychophysical data include motion integration in V1 and MT explained by feedback (suggested by Angelucci & Bullier, 2003), motion segmentation, a main characteristic of MT and extrinsic junctions segregation.

SOLAIRE
I am still working with Éric Castet and Jean-Baptiste Bernard from the DyVa Team on the SOLAIRE project, another INRIA-CNRS collaboration. Macular degeneration is touching more and more aged people. To help them to read again confortably we are developing a visual aid system controlled by the gaze. This work is done in collaboration of orthoptists in the La Timone hospital, Marseille.
